The amount spent to data by the C>ty Council on unemploved relief is I .it- follows: — Central Ward (Canterbury ' Hall) finished £*2o4 5s 7cl : (general) £l2 j 16s 9d: Spreydon Ward (Frank- | lev Street) finished £lB5 12s |4d ; (gravel pit) £22 17s; St Albans Ward CRlimvood Avenue) finished XSO 11s 3d; Pumping Station. Cashmere, finished £BO 15s Gd. The only relief works now in operation, are Frnnkley Street extension and the fermation of AUister Avenue.
