Though military preparations by Czechoslovakia and Jugo-Slavia are continuing it is hoped that war will be avoided- The Entente is trying to convince them that war is unnecessary, and to persuade them not to deliver an ultimatum. It is believed that the war cry in Belgrade is due to fear that Hungary will hereafter assist Italy militarily in case of need. T IE SERBIAN KING. PARIS, October 29.
