On the recommendation of the College Committee, the Board of Governors of Canterbury College yesterday decided that the congratulations of the hoard be conveyed to the head master, on the winning of the Moascar Cup by the Boys’ High School football team. Portion of the river bank near the Retreat Road bridge will be removed by the City Council for the purpose of giving better facilities for boating on the Avon. The council decided last evening that the Canterbury Rowing Association should be called on to defray the cost.
