The, Australian Press Association understands there is growing anxiety regarding the increased activity in Communistic circles. It is admitted, officially, that at least two hundred disturbed Lord Derby’s meeting at Westminster, including Germans It is also believed there were more exservice men among the Commnnilists than was the case three months ago. Grave unemployment, and consequent distress, are aiding the movement, the progress of which would be checked if relief were immediately available. Mr Grattan Doyle (Newcastle North) tabled questions in th© House of Commons asking it the Home Secretary was aware that active Russian Bolshevik revolutionaries were attached to the majority of the Communist clubs in England, that recruiting for an armed lorcc is in progress, and that a secret order wan issued prior to the unemployed demonstration to resist the police and create as much disorder as possible. (There were amazing scones at Westminster- An organised body of Communists. carrying red flags, broke up a meeting, using stink bombs, whistles and rattles. Finally they rushed the platform and tore down the Union Jack. Several wore injured in a bout of fisticuffs with the stewards. Lord Derby escaped scathless. Afterwards wooden boxes were discovered, labelled Auarchi.vt bonib3,” and stink bomba made in Germany.)
