The Alayor a&ks citizens to fly flags to-morrow, whicli will be Trafalgar Day. The forty-fourth anniversary services of the Sydenham Methodist Sunday school were held on Sunday the 16th inst., there being, despite the threatening weather, good congregations at all the services. The preachers were the Revs R. B. Tinsey and Percy Paris, and the scholars, assisted bj the choir and friends, under the* baton of Air G. Daltry_, rendered SDecial music. Yesterday the celebrations were continued, taking the form of a tea meeting and concert. The Misses A. and E. Kay prepared an excellent programme, all the items of which were given by the scholars. During the evening the opportunity was taken by the Rev Paris to present to Air Daltry, who has conducted the singing for many years, a gold-mounted fountain pen. The Rev Paris then presented tho prizes won during the year for attendance, conduct and work.
