After discharging a consignment of cement from Whangarei and general cargo from Auckland, she sailed for Dunedin at nine o'clock thia morning. PERSONAL. Captain F. L. Jaunay has been appointed to the command of the Kamo, relieving Captain F. Edge, who has oome ashore for orders. Captain J. C. Barnett has taken command of the tug Natone, relieving Captain H. W. Hargreaves, who has come ashore on sick leave. Mr A. C. Kennedy, chief officer of the Kawatiri, haß come ashore on holiday leave. Mr D. W. Palmer has joined the Kamona as second engineer in place of Mr D. W. S. Roas. Captain W. Brigden ha 3 returned to the command of the Warerley, relieving Captain A. H. Fisk. Mr J. Moyes has succeeded Mr W. Morrison ns engineer on the Waverley. TRADE EXHIBITION BHIP. Several trade exhibition ships will probably visit Australian ports in the next few years, advertising British and other products and promoting trade. Commenting on the formation of a new company In Great Britain, named the British Trade Ship, Ltd., the " Dolphin ” saye that the company will have a capital of .£12,000, and has been registered to adopt an agreement with Commander R. W. Day, H.lvJ.rt., and to acquire one or more exhibition ships. It is believed that the Intention Is to build a specially designed ship of roomy type, with accommodation for exhibits and exhibitors, and reception rooms for visitors and public demonstrations-, a ■bip of unique character. ** Tliero is plenty J room for advertising British goods abroad," the ‘ Dolphin" adds. "It has been said that we are the best manufacturers and the worst advertise™ in the world. The Canopus i# due on Saturday from Westport to bunker the Port Lyttelton. She iB expected to leave for Westport with general cargo on Wednesday. The Kahika is due on Saturday morning from Greymouth with a part cargo of timber. The vessel will proceed to Wellington with the balance of her timber on Monday night. The Kini is due on Saturday from Westport with a load of coal and timber. She is expected to leave Lyttelton on Monday night for Picton to load chaff for Onehunga.
