He said that those who wished for the abolition of the Arbitration Court were in a. small minority. The Court had acted rightly in tho shearers’ case. The debate was adjourned on the motion of the Hon W. 11. Triggs, and the Council rose at 8.54 p.m. until October 5. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. AFTERNOON SITTING. The House met at 2.30 p.m. FIRST READINGS. 1 The Daylight Baking Bill (Mr M’Combs) and the Tauranga Harbour Board Empowering Act Amendment Bill (Sir William Herries) were introduced end read a iirat time.
