The secretary reported that the Canterbury Automobile Association hffd not acceded to the request to contribute towards tho cost of making a road over the sand from Berrv Street. NorGr Brighten, to the beach- * It was decided to write pointing out to the association that tbe club's beach races were held, a.t a distance of ovrr two miles from the pier, and would not present any, danger to the public. The secretarv (Mr P. 11. Harman) reported on the business done at th«* annual conference of the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Union. The draft rules and conditions for the petrol test were adopted, subject to minor alterations. The following now members were elected ; —T. Chalk!in. A. R. Williamson, W. R. Strachan, P. M. Giles, T.
