FLIGHT TO WELLINGTON.
MR MERCER’S TRIP. t Air J. C. Mercer, in a 100 h.p. Alonosoupape Avro aeroplane, belonging to the Aero Transport Company at Timaru, arrived at the Sockburn aerodrome yesterday morning from Timaru, with a mechanic as a passenger. After refilling the petrol tanks Air Alercer left again at 2.5 p.m. for Kaikoura. ARRIVAL AT KAIKOURA* (Special to the “ Star.”) KAIKOURA, September 14. Air Mercer’s aeroplane, which arrived at Kaikoura yesterday, remained heVe this morning, giving passenger flights. The absence of wind and the glorious mid-summer weather made conditions ideal for flying and many passengers were carried. The aeroplane left Kaikoura at 11.18 a.inland is expected to arrive at Blenherfti at 12.50 p-m.. Later in the afternoon Mr Mercer will proceed to Wellington to undertake passenger flights. AVRO AT BLENHEIM. (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, September Xo. Air J. C. Alercer, of the Timaru Aviation Company, arrived early this afternoon in an Avro machine from Kaikoura, on route to Wellington. He expects to leave Blenheim shortly after four.
