The Persian Government has dispatched a Cossack force from Teheran against Mahomed Taglii. Acting-Gover-nor of Meshed, and a Turkoman force co-operating with him. Negotiations with Kuchick Khan so far have been abortive, lie still styling himself head of the Gilan Republic. The Government is engaging ten regular Swedish officers for the Persian Army.
