Tdeal conditions prevailed for training operations at Ricoarton this morning'. All tb© fast, work was done on the insids of tho trial grass. Tato.u Tatau and Te Kuri opened proceedings with a smart, ga.llop over six furlongs. ‘Xva-nza. and Kilfane sprinted half a mile nicely, Conuris going over the same ground was held hack to a Guiariforte gelding over sir furlongs. Macduff ami Mazama were on terms at tho end of a smart six furlong spin, while Meteorite gave Indus a start and a beating ever tho sarao ground. jtiero was responsible for an attractive gallop oxer seven furlongs, without being at his top speed. Bed Hind and Purple Spur snowed great brilliancy in a half-mile sprint, while Caverock. went fairly well over half a mile by himself. Battle Scene accompanied the Sami sen filly in a three furlong sprint up the back, the two-year-old shaping well. "Wink, the tworjear-old half-sister to Palestine, Tan down the straight under a puli. Conflict and Warhue, after a slow cf.art, registered fair time over five furlongs. Conflict looked as if she could have done much be tter. Vespucci was given a working gallop over a mile and a quarter. Winning Hit end Miss Mimic were both going well at the end of a useful five furlong spin. Bonny Mac and Limelight, separately, sprinted, from t.ho half-mile mark. Counter stroke beat Marauder over half «• mile. Timepiece started with them, but finished a. long way in the near. Pluto had Egotism to bring him home over the last part of », six furlong gallop, run in good time. Tiranga, vith a. mat* over the last three furlongs, sprinter! half a mile fairly well. Palestrina and Believe rattled over half » mile in attractive style, with the former going particularly well at the end. ■Fabrinade reeled off five furlongs nicely and Grim Joke covered a. mil© at a sound pa c-e* Blush and The "Reaver ware responsible for a, good gallop over six furlongs, both finishing well. The Bigger jumped four hurdles, shaping ir good style for a novice. The 8t Swjtbin gelding, from E. Scoullar's stable, started with him, but fell at the second flight, giving h»s rider, Th Murfitt, a severe shaking.
