LATE MR C. S. HARPER’S FUNERAL.
The funeral of the late Mr Cuthbert S. Harper took place yesterday. Tho cortege left .Mr Harper’s lat© residence, Leinster Road, lor St Mary’s Church, where a requiem mass was celebrated by tho Rev Father L. J. Dignan, after which the burial took place at the Barbadoes Street Cemetery, tho Rev Father Dignan officiating at the graveside. The mourners were Mr and Mrs G. Harper, Mrs C. S. Harper, Doan Harper and Messrs Robin and Edmund Harper. The pallbearers were Messrs C._ R- Clark, L. F. Nan car row, E. Norman, G. 11. Buchanan, G. Aitken and 11. S. Lawrence. There was a very large attendance at the funeral. The. public organisations upon which Mr Harper had served were represented, including the Christchurch City Council, Canterbury Progress League, Canterbury Automobile Association, Citizens’ Defence Corps, College Rifles, Canterbury Centre N.Z.A.A.A.. Pioneer Sports Club, Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club, also tho members of the staff of T. Borthwick aud Sons, Ltd.
