CONTRACT FOR INSULATORS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 25. A- number of tenders were received by the Public Works Department for the supply of six thousand t56.000-volt insulators in connection with the Lake Coleridge hydro-electric scheme. After the Tenders Board had considered the tenders, that of the Laurence and Hanson Electric Company, Wellington, was accepted by Cabinet. The value of the contract is £*11,501 10s. Tho goods arc of Canadian manufacture and the exchange basis of the sovereign agreed upon is at the rate of 4 dollars 20 cents.
