LATE SHIPPING.
WIRELESS NOTICE. The following steamers are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night: Awanui —Niagara, Riverina, schooner Vigilant, Waitomo Huddersfield, Waimarino, Wanaka, Kaiwarra. Auckland —Kaiapoi, Waipori, Karori, Kanna, West Camargo, Ngakuta, Kauri. Wellington—Maori, Mararoa, Mapourika, Waihora, Wairuna, Rewa, Port Bowen, Durham, Ulimaroa, Port Lincoln, Marama, Arahura, Katoa. - Awaru a—Hatioara. Chatham Islands —Donald M’Kay, Dorset, Rimutake. COAL AND TIMBER SUPPLY. The Orepuki is expected to leave Greymouth this evening for Lvttelton. She will probably sail from Lyttelton on the return trip on Tuesday next. The Kini, from Greymouth, with a load of coal, arrived last evening. The Kittawa, with a part cargo of timbet from Westport, arrived last evening. Part of her cargo will be unloaded at Timaru. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Marama arrived at Wellington on Tuesday morning from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga. The Marama left San Francisco on July 25, and encountered east-south-east wind and moderate seas until two days off Papeete, when strong winds and moderate to rough seas, with thick, misty weather, ruled. The voyage was continued from Papeete on August 6 with moderate southeast trades, which held till Rarotonga was reached two days later. Light south-east , winds were blowing when the Maramacleared Rarotonga on the last stage of the journey to Welling»ton. A moderate southerly swell Was running for the remainder of the voyage. Second saloon: Misses Moor, Stantonne, Downic, Mesdames Wood, Bogle. Moor, Mudge, Jossenberger (2). Douglas, Brodien, Richmond, Messrs T. Moor, W. Moor, B. Farrin, L Jossenberger, P. Jossenberger. J. English, C. Corbett, D. Dorreen. 11. Berg, H. Adamson, T. Brodien, C. Hanson, H. Richmond, and twentv-nine in the third-class. Her cargo included dried fruits, motor material, roofing, paper, glass flasks, and oil, from San Francisco; vanilla beans, from Papeete; oranges, bananas and tomatoes, from Rarotonga. 'Die Marama was timed to leave Wellington at noon yesterday for Sydney, with the following passengers :—First saloon: Misses Bishop, M’Clusky, Mesdames A. Goldstein, White and two children, Messrs C. Coulter, W. Hancock, J. Ross, F. Rvan, A. Gibbs, N. Wainwright, F. Ledger, C. Mason, O. Thomson, P. Lomax. J. Roggerson, White, H. Day, A. Smith, IT. Reed. .Second saloon: Mrs J. Ryan and infant, Messrs J. Ryan, Gopelwitz. and G-. Bell ; six steerage. PERSONAL. Mr J. O’Shea, third engineer of the Mararca, has left that vessel owing to illness. Mr T. B. Walker, purser of the Marama, is to be succeeded by Mr C. Leighton, lata purser of the M.akura. Mr B. T. Carrington has joined the Hinemoa as first mate. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
