The Cygnet was dispatched for Kaikoura Ja‘t evening, and should arrive back this evening. ‘the Wukatu could not finish her loading last evening and will not leave for Kai koura and Wellington till to-night. Extj-a cargo having come forward for the Corinna the vessel was unable to complete hei loading last evening, and she will not leave for Nelson and New Plymouth until to_day. The Baden Powell left Wellington for Lyttelton last evening, and should arrive here this afternoon. She will be dispatched on the return trip to.morrow. The John was an arrival yesterday from southern ports. After loading a quantity of general cargo she sailed shortly after noon for W’anganui. / The Opua is expected to-morrow from Akaroa. She will load at Lyttelton for Vrellington. The Kanna is expected at Wellington on Monday from Auckland. She is to leave there the same duy for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Koranui, which is due at Wellington to-day from Napier, will sail this evening for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Paloona was ail early arrival from Dunedin yesterday morning. After discharging her Melbourne cargo and loading cargo for Australia, the vessel left last evening for Melbourne, via Wellington and Bluff. The Kunw is expected to leave Adelaide this week for Dunedin, Timaru. Lyttelton, und Wellington. The Union Company’s steamer Waitomo was expected to leave Newcastle for Wellington and Dunedin on Wednesday. OVERSEA SHIPPING The Pakeha finished discharging her Lyttelton cargo yesterday morning, and sailed yesterday afternoon for Dunedin, Tokomaru Bav and Gisborne. The City of Lincoln arrived this morning from Wellington with 400 tons of New York cargo to unload. On completing her unloading she will proceed to Dunedin. On Saturday afternoon a. sm-all fire oc« eurred on the C. and D. liner Port Bowen. Ihe vessel was in Auckland, and a fumigator upset a bottle of spirits in one of the holds. The damage done* from the fire v;as very slight, only five eases of kauri gum being burnt, and the flames were subdued by the application ? of a couple of bags of salt. The Port Bowen cleared Auckland at 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday, and is due at. Wellington to-day. She should sail for Lyttelton and Dunedin on Sunday, and on completion of discharge at the latter r>ort will load at Port Chalmers, Bluff, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is timed to sail from Wellington for London about September 16. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Ruapehu left Newport News oj. Saturday, and the Otaki left Durban on Thursday. The Shaw. Savill and Albion liner Arawa arrived at Mopt* Video on Sunday last. She left Wellington on Julv 23. The Shaw. Saviit and Albion liner Taima arrived at Durban on Thursdny last. Sh« left Wellington on July 1, and cleared Sydney on July 20. The Commonwealth and Dominion liner Port Kembla left Panama on Friday in continuation of her voyage. She sailed from Wellington on July 24. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Whakatane arrived at London on Monday She left Lyttelton on June 22. The Athenic, bound from Southampton to Wellington, left Panama on August 4, and ia due at We.lUnirton about August 27
