SUPREME COURT

(Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, August 16. The Supreme Court sessions opened to-day, Mr Justice Saimond presiding. In his charge to the Grand Jury his Honor said, he regretted to note that all the" cases for trial at the present criminal sittings concerned sexual offences. True bills were returned in all cases. William Webber ley, who pleaded guilty to incest at lAaponga in May, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Hilda L. Davey, a young married woman who had pleaded guilty in tho Lower Court to the theft of about £-40. was admitted to probation for two years. __
