WEDDING.

COPLAND—RICHARDS. The wedding took place at St Alark’s Church, Rakaia, on Wednesday afternoon, of Gladys, daughter of Mr and Airs Thomas Rictiaids, of Roseville, Rakaia, and Watt, son of Air and Airs James Copel m l, Tillyfour, Ashburton. The cnu.’cn was prettily decorated by friends arid members of the choir, of which tiie bride was a member. The ceremony was performed by the Rev E N. Blakiston, and Aliss Hardy officiated at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was beautifully dressed in ivory sat hi, draped with lace. She wore a Court tram lined with mauve crepe de chine. Her veil was arranged in mob cap fashion. The bride was attended by her two sisters, Misses Gertrude an l Doris Richards, as bridesmaids. Alisi OeiRichards’s dress was of white crepe de chine dress relieved with mauve and a black lace hat, and Aliss Doris Richards's dress wa sof white crepe do

chine, with a cream lace hat. The best man was Air George Copeland. Air Henry Copeland acted as groomsman. After the ceremony n reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. The happy couple left for the north on their honeymoon, t l . e bride wearing a navy blue costume with a henna hat and wolf furs Their future home will be the old home of the bridegroom’s parents, Overdale, Rakaia, which has been occupied by the Copeland family for the past forty years.
