SECRET TREASURE.
MOTORIST’S LUCKY FIND. We have all heard or read of lucky finds, of the discovery of secret hoards of a secretive person who has subsequently died. Recently a well-known Christchurch Motorist had a lucky find. He had just bought a new residence and with a friend was removing some debris from the side of a shed when the spade struck a hard black object. It was discovered to be an ancient battery apparently quite useless. The was going to throw it away, but the friend who had already had a pleasurable experience of the splendid work of the Christchurch Battery Co., S 6, Kilmore Street, persuaded him to send it there. The Battery Co. officials made a thorough test of the battery, and to the motorist’s delight were able to repair it efficiently and it is now running like a new battery. ’Phone 4959 will get the Battery’s Establishment, which is three doors east of Victoria Street.
