AN AUCKLAND PROTEST. [Per Press Association.l AUCKLAND, August 3. A protest on behalf of the Otahuhu Trotting Club in respect to the Racing Commission’s report was juit before Auckland members of Parliament by deputation of about one hundred and fifty sportsmen. After the club’s case had been fully stated, the Hon G. J. In that respect he felt the present commission had exceeded its authority. Mr Potter intimated that the Parliamentary members present had decided to telegraph to the Minister of Internal Affairs, drawing attention to the point mentioned by Mr Garland, and requesting that no action should be taken until Parliament had considered the re port. A protest against the commission's recommendations regarding the Otahuhu Club was forwarded to the North Island Trotting I 1 breed, -rc’ Association to tii® kion W. Downie Stewarfc.
