A packed and enthusiastic meeting i was held her© to-night., when an eloquent address was delivered by Protes- , sor Pringle, Otago University, who read , the following cable from Lord Robert j Cecil:—“The support of world public [ opinion is the League's greatest neec j I welcome the formation of a New Zeaj land League of Nations Union.” j At th© close of the address the meetj tng heartily agreed to form a. branch of j th© League of Nations Union and set *up a strong representative committee | to give effect .to the resolution.
