The committee of the Canterbury Jockey Clulb met on Tuesday afternoon. The chairman’s action in granting a gentleman rider’s certificate to S. E. Richards, permits to train tlieir own horses/to A. C. Selbv. M. J Morriss, P. El worth v. N. W. Tregonning \\ . H. Bell, J. Rvan, Catherine Maclachan. G. B. Starky. C. L. Clifford, G. E Somerset. J. Gordon and S. E. Richards, also a conditional jockey s license to G. Birss (for jumping races only), was approved. A "entleman rider’s certificate was granted to T. F. Watson, Permits to train their own horses were granted to J. Mechin. H. Brosnahan. J. Opie and G. H. Paul. A jockey’s license was granted to Thomas Hobbs The following transfers were approved :—G. D Greenwood to F. R. Pierce, Petunia ; G. I). Greenwood to W. G. Gerard, Kama.
