HOME SCIENCE.
A cooking demonstration was given at the Technical College last night by Miss Beck, the Home Science mistresß, to tho parents of the college homo science pupils. X>r Hansen, director of tho college, in introducing Aliss Beck, said that the demonstration was the first of a series it was hoped to give. They would, no doubt, do gtfoat good and serve to bring parents into closer contact with tho work of tho college. Incidentally too, it would be a benefit to all to see Aliss Beck at work.
Aliss Beck gave some general advice for successful cooking. She said that the electric stove was preferable to tho gas stove, although she would not be wdthoufc the gas stove altogether. Beck then gave her demonstration and at its conclusion was accorded a vote of thanks.
In addition to the cooking demonstration, there was a very line exhibition of sewing, the work of the Home Science classes.
