CITY COUNCIL VACANCY.
Air W. Alachin, who was a candidate for a seat on the City Council at tho recent .elections, was asked to be a candidate to fill the present vacancy, but he stated to-day that, as Mr Beanland is definitely announced, it would be very ungracious for him to enter the field.
