CANTERBURY WOMEN TEACHERS.

The usual monthlv meeting of the Canterbury Women Teachers’ Association was hold on June 3, when an interesting evening was spent in discussing the work of women teachers in other parts of the Empire. Aliss Chaplin introduced the subject bv reading an address given by the president of the Womeu Teachers’ Federation, Ontario, Canada, at a convention held at Toronto. Mrs Rockett spoke ofl the work in Winnipeg, where she was a teacher for some years. Aliss Beck, who recently visited several schools in Sydney, gave her impressions of the work there. The work in English schools and tho general trend of educational matters were dealt with by Aliss Baster, of the Christchurch Training College.
