THE LABOUR PARTY.
MR HOLLAND’S REPLY TO SIR JAMES ALLEN. [Peh Press Association.! :uay 10. Speaking at a Labour function here to-night Mr 11. E. Holland, M.P.. chairman of the Pa: liaraentary Labou’ Party, referring to Sir James Allen i recent contribution to the* “ Manchestei Guardian,” said that if the cabled re ports were correct Sir James Al.en hat misused his position as High Commissioner to propagate an inferential false hood concerning the Labour Party. *t was utterly untrue that there was lack of cohesion in the Labour Party’■ ranks, and it was likewise untrue that a number of Labour members did no 4 favour constitutional methods. There were only eight Labour members in the present Parliament, and everyone • 1 them was loyal to the policy of the organised Labour movement, which stood for constitutional methods, as n g’ance at the Labour platform would show. He said that Sir James Allen’s indiscretion would be brought before Parliament at the first opportunity. Tic described Mr Wilford’s remarks in thi eonnection as somewhat ill-tempered and an altogether ludicrous outburst which would prove a source of merriment to the Labour movement, but hardly deserving of notice otherwise.
