Unemployment due to the coal stoppage is increasing by leaps and bounds. Lour hundred thousand workers are idle Last month, owing to the coal trouble, 250.000 workers were on short time. One million five hundred and sixty-six thousand pounds is being paid in unemployment benefits weekly, allowing for tho contributions to the unemployment funds being depleted at the rate of £1,250,000 weekly.
