In addition to inquiries for help and advice have been received at the office during the vear. Last summer was an unusual! v busv one, there being much more work ‘than during they winter. Storage room is becoming a difficulty as the work increases. We have a staff of eight nurses, and they cover many hundreds of miles on their bicycles round Greater Christchurch. I would like to draw attention to the sales of clothing held every fortnight at tlio District Nurses’ Office, the proceeds of which go largely to relief work. Our thanks are due to many who have so kindly helped to keep up our stock. Of course, we give away in necessitous cases, and this winter will be a heavy tax on our clothing, resources of which we are in constant need. Wo are most grateful to those Indies who have so generously given of their time every week, and so have contributed very much to the success of these sales. The St John Ambulance Association, to whom we owe our best thanks, have in cases of poverty lent their ambulance free of charge.” 7’he committee thanked 3frs J. S. Neville and other ladies for their constant and valuable help in the interests of the association ; also all who contributed to the funds of the association in the past-, and trusted their support wuld be cntinud.
