MR WALTER HILL, a very well known citizen of Christchurch, who has left on a trip to the Old Country. Mr Hill is connected with the wool trade, and had extensive works at Woolston, which were only recently destroyed by fire. He is chairman of the Christchurch Drainage Board, and has held that position for a number of years. Mr and Mrs Hill were prominent in patriotic work during the war.
