The Opihi arrived this morning from Wanganui, to undergo her annual survey and overhaul. The Kennedy ia expected to-day from Wellington, and after loading a consignment of produce will be dispached for Wellington, probubly on Saturday forenoon. The Wakatu arrived from Kaikoura last evening, and should sail again this evening fox Kaikoiiru and Wellington. The Baden Powell is due to-day from Wellington. She will *be dispatched to-morrow or Saturday on the return trip. , The Waitomo met with heavy weather along tlio coast yesterday, on her way from the north to Timaru, and is not. expected to arrive at the southern port until o-day. She ia due at Lyttelton, on Saturday, and should sail for Auckland on Wednesday. The Orepuki is due to sail to-morrow for Greymouth. The work of converting the auxiliary briga.ntine Zita into a fore-and-aft schooner is aimoet completed. The Zita, the Coronation, and the Echo are the only regular sailers trading ill and out of the port of "Wellington now that the Magic and. Omaka have been wrecked. It is possible, however, that in the near future another sailer will bo added to the diminished Reef in place ni the wrecked Magic. The Zita ia to sail this week for Lyttelton to load for Wellington. Apparently the Pain pa will not be tho only sailing vessel that 13 to load wool in New Zealand waters fer the United Kingdom, for it is reprted that the French ship Vercingetorix has been chartered for the same purpose. The Pampa. is at present loading at Wellington, while the Vercingetorix is to load either at Wellington or at Wanganui. The Katoa. arrived from Wellington last evening, after a nineteen hour passage through a strong south-easterly. The vessel has 263 tons of cargo to land, and 137 tons of sugar. She ia timed to sail for Dunedin this afternoon, and will not call at Lyttelton on her way north UNION COMPANY’S CARGO FLEET. Following are the movements of the Union Steam Ship Company’s cargo steamers in the trans-Pacinc service: Waiotapu, frem Melbourne, was due at San Francisco cn Thursday, April 21. Wairtma. from Pacific Coast, was expected to leave Melbourne on Friday, April 2‘2, for Sydney to discharge balance of her cargo. Waikawa, from Pacific Coast, left San Francisco for Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney on Monday, April 11. She is due at Auckland about Saturday, May 7. Wai ho mo, was expected to leave Vancouver on Monday, April 18, for Union Bay, Powell River, Ocean Falls, thence San Francisco direct, to complete loading for New Zealand end Australian points. Will probably take final departure from San Francisco about May 2. Waimarino, from Pacific Coast, is expected to clear Apia on Wednesday, April 27, for Auckland. Melboumo and Sydney to complete discharge. ISLAND TRADE. The Union Company announce that the Navaa will leave Auckland on Friday for Rarotonga and Papeete, and the Tofua will leave tho same port the following day for Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. INTERCOLONIAL SERVICE. The Paloona is timed to leave Lyttelton to-day for Wellington and Melbourne. The Westralie, will leave Melbourne tomorrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluif. The vessel is due at Wellington on Wednesday. The Huddart-Parker steamer Riverina is .expected to leave Sydney to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Monday. On the return trip to Sydney she is timed to leave Auckland cn May 5.
