WOOLSTON COMPETITION. The following ure the results for the third week of the Wools ton Tanneries Utility Poultry Club single bird egg-laying competition (dry maeh\ ending April 26:

They j are staying at the People’s Palace until J to-morrow night, when they will prj < north. At the request of the Diocesan Synod i the Clirisfccnureh Choral Association has arranged a model congregational service, which will take place in the Cathedral to-morrow night at 7.30. Idic Rev F. R. Rawlc, vicar of Waikari, will be the preacehr. The funeral of the late Miss Leah Selig, elder daughter of Mr P. Selig, took place this moflning at the Jewish Cemetery. There was a large attendance of friends of the family and of representatives of the business community. The bearers at the house were members of the staff of “ The Press,” and at the cemetery members of the Jewish congregation. The service was read by the Rev D- Schloss, Jewish pastor-
