AEROPLANE DISASTER.
LIEUT M’INTOSH’S DEATH, JURY’S FINDING. By Telegraph—Frees Association— CapyrifhV Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 27, 10.10 a.m.) PERTH, April 27. The jury found (-hat the death of the aviator, Lieutenant MTntosh, was accidental. and tliat no ono was blameable, thus disproving the theory that the mishap was caused through o, passenger standing up in the car. (In an exhibition flight at Pithara, on March 29 the machine suddenly ? lunged to earth from a height of 200 ft, and crashed in a paddock. The machine was wrecked, and tho pilot, Lieutenant MTntosh. and a. passenger named Joy’, were found dead strapped to the scats. A second passenger, Loughlin, was badly injured. At a preliminary inquiry Lieutenant MTntosh’s mechanic stated that ho saw Loughlin standing up in the cockpit wfien the machine waa 200 ft in the air. MTntosfi. with Parer, completed a famous flight from England last August. after an adventurous experience.)
