DANCE AT FAIRFIELD.
Fairfield,” the home, of Air and Airs Wilfred Hall, Coalgatc, was the scene of a merry fancy dress dance on Saturday evening, and made a happy ending to the day’s race meeting. There were quite a number of weekend house parties near ‘‘Fairfield,” a number of town folk being present as well as country folk. Those in fancy drees included Mrs \V. Deans (Turkish Lady). Miss Nuroli Knight (Dutch Girl). Miss E. Hall (Chinaman). Mrs Endell Wanklyn (Eastern PrincesA. Mrs K. Williams (Emerald Green Butterfly) Miss Jennings (Gipsy), Miss Itita Gibson (Maori), Miss O’Rorkq (French Peasant), Miss Marv Macdonald (Carmen), Miss Cracroft Wilson (Turkish Lady), Miss Beckett (Swiss Peasant), M i-K Stmt. Wellington (Gip>vl, the Misses Bond (Pierrettes), Miss Teschemaker (Gipsv). Miss Northcote (Queen Elizabeth). Miss M. Macfarlnne (Earlv Victorian). Miss Polliill (Norwegian Peasant). Miss Chaffer (Turkish Woman). Miss Hall (Carmen). Amongst others present were Airs J. D. Hall, Mrs John Doans and Mrs Phillips and .Messrs Grigg, Hall. O’Rorko, Wankivn. CotterilJ, Cracroft Wilson.
