MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
IVY OF LINWOOD LODGE. U.A.O.D. The quarterly summoned meeting of the lodge was held in the Orange Hall on February 28, A.D. Brother C. Tonkin presiding over a very large attendance. Sick pay, £lO 6s Bd, also a maternity allowance claim, were passed for payment. One new candidate was initiated into the Order. Brother Bates reported attending- the annual meeting of the Board of Management of the United Friendly Societies 7 Dispensary. Brother Burgess also reported on the meet ing, giving the lodge *n interesting account of tho position of tho dispensary to-day. Brother Burgess was re-elected secretarv. and Brother Bates was re-elected on the board for the Dispensary, both brothers being accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their excellent report. Brother Legge re ported having attended the annual meeting of the United Friendlv Societies’ Card Association. A number of lodges have entered pi. team for the tournament. D.P. BTother Ckanibcrs in an appropriate speech presented Brother .E. Widdowson with a framed P.A. diploma, and Brother G. Bates with a- leather bag, for having passed through the chairs of the lodge.
