MOTOR MISHAPS.
OVERTURN AT MOTUKARARA,
One of Oakley’* motor-cars returning from Akaroa to Christchurch yesterday, With a fairly full load, overturned into a ditch at the side of the road at AlotuJtarara. near a corner. One of the passengers in the back of the car was thrown through a. glass wind screen and WOB cut on the head, but all the others escaped u ith a shaking. The car was damaged along the right side and the front axle was bent, but the driver came on to town under his own power. One of Read’s Akaroa motor-cars, f railing into the Square this morning, lad too much wav on for the brakes, and hit a verandah post near Kellava\*s. The post was snapped off in the middle, but tlie car escaped lightly.
