TO-DAY’S CASES. CHRISTCHURCH. | Mr S. E. M’Carthy, S.M., presided | at to-day’s sitting of the Magistrate’s ALLEGED THEFTLouis George Harris (Mr Thomas) was remanded to appear on March 2 on a charge of stealing a bicycle valued iit_ £l.l. Bail v, r as allowed, accused in £oo and two sureties of £25 each. BROKEN ORDERS. Louisa Morgan pleaded guilty to a breach of a prohibition order. She was convicted, and fined £lO, in deiault three months’ imprisonment. Mary Wilson (Mr Tv. M. Gresson) was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, oil a charge of breaking a prohibition order. A SYDENHAM BRAWL. Robert Dasler, Archibald Daslerand Francis- Orean pleaded not guiity to using threatening behaviour at Sydenham on January 4, whereby a breach of th© peace was occasioned. Mr Amodeo appeared for the Daslers. Robert Dasler was also charged with assaulting John Charles Pearson. After hearing evidence at some length the Magistrate imposed a fine ol £lO on Robert Dasler, half th e fine to go to the complainant. On the charge of causing a breach of the peace, Orean and Archibald Dasler were each convicted and fined £2 and costs, Robert Dasler being convicted and discharged. AFFILIATION OASES. An application tor an affiliation order against Herbert Holmc-s Ashworth (Mr Cuthbert), was dismissed without prejudice to the right of complainant to lay a fresh complaint. Mr Acland appeared for the complainant.
