ADVENTUROUS CAREER CUT SHORT. [[Per Press Association'.! AUCKLAND, February 15. Two youths, tlie eldest twenty-two years of age, had an adventure cut short by the interposition of the police. They proposed to proceed to the Kcrmadeci in tho yacht Mizpah. which the elder boy claimed to have purchased, and by the aid of a cheque book obtained a large quantity of stores and provisions, which were sent to the wharf and placed in the care of a watchman whom they paid 5s an hour. A detective relieved the watchman of his duty % At present the youths stand charged with issuing a cheque by means of which benzine and oil was obtained.
