Professor Lawson, of the California University, writes in the 11 Geological Bulletin ” that the coast range in the vicinity of San Francisco is moving slowly northwards, producing an enormous earth strain, resulting in tcbounds, in one of which Mount Tamalpais rebounded 6.6 ft.
