Mr Brady confirmed the statement of the “ New York Times ” ..hat the DempseyCarpentier bout is cancelled. He declared that under the original contract the rala/tions were dissolved, since Carpentier and Dempsey had not deposited the guarantee sum. Garpentier was unable to transfer 50,000 dollars in gold from France, owing to the Government prohibition. Mr Brady added that he and Mr Cochran were dissociated completely from Ihe present arrangement. Any bout between Dempsey and Carpentier wpuld only be possible under a new contract.
