Hazeidean Load, Sydenham, on Wednesday evening, at the invitation oi tie Oak oi Sydenham Lodge. The occasion waa tho presents lion oi a past secretary's diploma u Brother F. Cameron, I\3. of the Oak of Sydenham. The hall was crowded, the tables taste; fully decorated by the Sydenham brethren. The Arch Druid, Brother H. S. Stevens, occupied the chair, and was supported by the (hand President (Brother H. fe. Loxtcn*. Grand Secretary (Brother J. Bursess), and Junior Past Grand President (Brother F. lu. Talbot). Representatives were present, irom ail lodges in the Nos. 3,2 and 7 districts ; also from Ashburton. Waimate and Wellington. Tho Grand Secret ary, on behalf of the lodge, made the presentation, pointing out tho tact that Brother Cameron had been an earnest officer for fourteen years, during which time tho lodge bad succeeded 'beyond expectation, the per capita value having incieased from £l7 per head to iGfl?. and tkf* membership also had shown r substantial increase. Brother Cameron, who was reoeiyed. with applause, related many incidents oi interest, some amusing, that had occurred during his secretaryship. Brother J. Betts.
