FLOWER SHOW.

A BRILLIANT DISPLAY, A very fine display of blooms is to be seen in the latrquee at Victoria. Square,* where the Canterbury Sweet Pea, Carnation and Rose Society is holding its sweet pea and carnation show. The entries are well up to tile standard of previous shows, and the exhibits throughout are all of excellent quality. A particularly fine display is on exhibition from the Wools ton Tanneries, the ruanv and various blooms making & gorgeous d:aolay Mr T. Wade and Mrs W pe tit ire exhibits. Mr H. Land cry and Mr T. E. Whitfield were the -foremost exhibitors of carnations and carried off practically ad het prises iu this section. Mr V. MfulholLand took the premier honours in the sweet pea section. In tho gladioli section the judge (Mr W. Jones) stated that he had never seen better blooms in twentyTho judges were:—Carnations, Mr W. Taylor; sweet peas, Mr C. James; all other classes. Mr W. Jones.
