The defeat of Wylie in Section B puts the Kaiapoi skip out of the competition, thiß being his second loss. Henderson (Lyttelton) and Rennie (Christchurch) each have a “ life ” left, while J. Marriott (Linwood) has two lives,” his rink not having been de- • feated since play on the two-life system was commenced. It is interesting to note that 1 Maxwell Walker’s rink (Ponsonby) defeated last year’s winners, London’s (St Jdhn's, Wanganui) rink.
