AUCTIONEER FINED. [Per Press Association.] TIMARU, January 13. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day H. T. Morton, auctioneer, was charged with having sold a quantity of liquor in less than five gab on lot 3, without being licensed. The facts were admitted, but it was contended that as the amount offered wa« thirty gallons defendant had the right to sell. Dedefndant was convicted and fined £5, since tho Act distinctly states that an auctioneer can hob sell less than five gallon lots.
