[Per Press Association. 3 "WELLINGTON, January 11. At a meeting of tlio Wellington Cricket Association, Canterbury advised that it would not send a. team to Wellington this year! It w&3 decided to ask the Canterbury Asso-ciation-to reconsider the matter if the proposed Australian tour did not eventuate. Conditions in connection with the competition for the Iledpath Cup were adopted. The trophy is to bo awurded to tho player of any major association who obtains- the highest- batting average in interprovincial or foreign matches. It was decided to send a representative team to Napier this year. A suggestion from the New Zealand Council that a country team should play Australia at Wellington was not favoured PRESS CLUB v. “ SUN ” OFFICE. A return match will bo played at Hagley Park to-morrow, commencing at two o clock, between tlio Press Club and the “ Sun ” Office. The teams are as follow: —Press Club —R. C. Mathews, J. C. Mullins. H. Martin, W. L. Patersdn, L. ,G ainpy, J. J pekman, ,M. L. Page, S. Schock, E. J. Pegg, D. Morgan and J. Sas son; reserves—A. B. Lane. C. Perm and D. Kirby. “ Sun ” Office—H. Waters, H. M’D. Vincent, A. Chappell, E. Cummins, Francis, A. L-. Wood. C. A. .Marris, J.>H. Hall, Peter Gilbert, H. Alpe •and 11. A. Jarden; reserve —A. W. Limkley.
