FLYING AT DUNEDIN.
RIVAL COMPANIES ON THE GROUND.
Dunedin is having a full measure of Hying at the present moment, as both the Canterbury Aviation Company and the Timaru company have machines engaged in passenger flights. Captain Douglas Gray; of Christchurch, is giving flights in the Avro 310 Lo Rhone machine in which Captain Dickson flew Cook Strait. The Timaru company lias a 100 h.p. Jhrro and a D.H.9. Both companies are flying from the Harbour Board reclamation area at Anderson’s Bay, which is about fifty acres iri extent. Can tain Gray is parking his machine at Forbury Park to avoid damage to the engine from drift sand. A very great deal of interest lias been taken in the flights, and Captain Gray will remain in Dunedin for several days. 'The first machine that he flew south damaged a wing at Dunedin, and Cap tain Cxrnv returned to Christchurch and flew south with another machine on Sunday.
