WARE BUMPS!

TO THI EDITOR. Sir,—The journey from Ashburton to Christchurch this morning, by the train leaving at 7..15, was an unpleasant one for the passengers over the. earlier half of the journey. The first bump felt like a collision, and it nearly dislocated die necks of the unwary travellers. There were a few other shocks of varying severity, and passengers were glad to reach their destinations sound in wind and limb. The train was mixed goods and passenger, and apparently was fitted with tlie Westingi house. The. bumps, however, were of a most nerve-shattering kind, and passengers were united in demanding an improvement. 1 am, etc., TRAVELLER.
