-MARTO-VS EMPHATIC RESOLUTION. [Per Press Assooia'iiok.] MARION, November 30. A .representative meeting carried the tcliowing resolution, unanimously:— ■'That this Marton branch of "the Amalgamated Society of .Railway Sorvants of New Zealand indignantly ami emphatically protest and whole-hearted-ly condemn the action of the Department in contravening, both in spirit aiK the letter, the terms of Clause ITI of an agreement arrived at between tho executive of the council and the Department on Juno 23. Wc furthermore call upon tho executive of the ■council to take the necessary action immediately to have all tho terms of tho agreement adhered to, and liberally interpreted, which, though has nos yet been carried out."
