CARGO BROACHING.
[Per Press Association*.] AUCKLAND, November 2b. At the Police Court William James Murphy, a coal-trimmer on the Orari, was sentenced to sis months’ imprisonment with hard labour. During the voyage from London a hole was cut in a partition between one of the coal bunkers and the hold, and fifteen cases of cargo were broken open. Most ■ of thorn contained men’s underwear. A search resulted in the discovery of a quantity of underwear in the forecastle, and.the accused admitted taking about wort 'k* . The broaching was clone al*«r tho ship left the Panama Canal.
