MUSICAL FESTIVAL.

[Peh Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 25. it is m tended to hold a big musical festival in each of the four centres, commencing m September, 1922. That year marks the jubilee of the Dunedin Choral bociefcy, and the idea of celebrating the event came from the southern city. Whilst arrangements are yet in a more or less nebulous stage, cortain decisions have been arrived at in negotiation between the Choral Society of Auckland, the Royal Musical Society of Christchurch, the Choral Society 0 f Dunedin and the Choral Union of Wellington. These are(l) That a choral festival be bold in each of the four centres, commencing at Dunedin in September, 1922. (2) That sis concerts be given in Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland, and eight in Wellington. (3) That a vocal quartet from England be engaged for the performances. A conference of delegates of the four societies is to be held in Wellington before the end of the year, when further details will be settled.
