Staples bow; E. Yeoman stroke, U. Hart bow. Senior Double Sculls—AY. hergison stroke, AA r . AY. Newman bow. Senior Pairs—AY. Sergison stroke, E, H. Stevenson bow; R. A, Nightingale stroke, D. Duns how. ’ , these crews have beau out training lor the past week. In the Youths’ Four the stroke is shaping fairly well, but must rid himself of th 0 bad fault of dropping hia hands at the commencement. No. 3 wants lo straighten his back. No. 2is swinging back too far, and his slide work is poor. Bow is bringing his right shoulder around too far. 'l’hc A r ouths’ Double Sculls arc only in a rough state «b yet and want a good deal ef coaching. Tho Maiden Four arc a well balanced crow. Strok 0 should set a sharper commencement. No. 3 is only a new hand lit the game, but as tho regatta, is some weeks ’off considerable improvement can be expected from him. No, 2 and bow, like stroke, want to get a smarter commencement. The maiden double scullers Lave not been out a great deal. ‘ They will have to stick to training it they want to be, in the tunning at Akaroa. The Junior Four is tho Maiden Four that towed together last, season. Stroke wants lo lengthen out his stroke, and the swing right through the boat is very bad. There is plenty of room for improvement in this crew. s . Sergisoh and Stevenson as a pair are fairly well matched. Tiro senior double scullers have done a fair amount of training ami look like getting well together in tim*. Those two as youths and maidens havo a good record to their credit.
