Aa the result of the Prussian Government terminating the Anglo-German agreement of 1890, under which the inhabitants of Heligoland enjoyed a numincluding fishing nght, fifty islanders appealed to tho British nation, declaring they would prefer to bo under the British flag, and w3 U +w n +l Government to seo that- their rights were maintained.
